Remember good old 2019? You used to enjoy going to meetups where people showed slides. Also, you used to listen to or watch hour-long interviews where some clever dude shared kinda clever things.
Who has time for it in 2022? Everyone has a backlog of 1,000 newsletters to read and 10,000 new podcast episodes to listen to. Also work now spreads across the whole day.
So Lera and I decided to evolve to the 2022 vibe and:
Kill The Communities Show as a long-form audio + video + live
Cancel all booked shows with guests
Use the Ohayo audio diary format but evolve the content
Here’s our thinking :
People love us for summary emails
Our premium subscribers (you too?) cite our emails and resonate with our emotional and honest Ohayo. While The Community Show live events and even the produced 30-minute podcasts seem to carry less value for most people.
So yes, we’re killing the core product but keeping the value it delivers: our take on things, a digested take-away, short and to the point TL;DRs.
